A low-code interface enabling developers, designers, or QAs to record snapshots and animated tests in a maintainable way, generating clean code that developers can later refactor.
The first version of Scenes was originally designed as an alternative to Storybook, and it came with a few additional features to easily showcase visual examples of components. While some of those features are being migrated to the latest version, Scene is now focused primarily on automating QA tasks.
While beeing highly customisable and extensible, the workflow proposed by Scene requires developers to stick diligently to a well-behaved state management framework with recordable side effects.
Scenes will be made available as a plugin for the Prodo Declare open-source framework. We may also provide support for alternative state-managements frameworks such as Redux or MobX.
