An online code editor for front-end components enriched with low-code features enabling designers or copywriters to make quick edits without having to navigate through complex code.
One of the main challenges with online IDEs is how to integrate with the developer's workflows. Our proposed solution ended up being quite similar to that off Bit, providing developers with a simple CLI to import their components. This however did not completely remove the overhead, and most developers still prefered to keep developing components directly on their file system.
We believe Workbench's features would be most valuable within a more general platforms, for instance an online IDE such as CodeSanbox or Glitch. Alternatively, the wysiwig features of Workbench could be of revelance to the so-called "low-code" space, or they could be integrated in designer-facing products such as Framer X.
